Job Summary (Role Purpose Statement)

The Business Development Manager will work towards business expansion activities of the organization, improving market position, locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships.

Main Accountabilities:

• Improving the market position, locating, developing, defining, and closing business contracts.
• Lead the formulation, execution, and monitoring of the company’s business development, market penetration strategies, and plans for enhancing business growth.
• Responsible for the design/implementation of strategies to get the Company registered and sustained with International Oil Companies as Vendors and Contractors.
• Develop business dealings from DPR Permits to NIPEX product codes documentation and source for jobs.
• Proactively develop and nurture cordial relationships with all the Government Regulatory agencies (NUIMS/NAPIMS, NUPRC, NIMASA, NCDMB etc.).
• Responsible for coordinating strategic planning and business development functions of the company in areas where we already have DPR Permits including Marine Vessel Supply & Operations, Offshore Operations SupportServices among others, and new business prospect areas.
• Lead negotiations and close deals to secure profitable contracts
• Responsible for liaising with International Oil Companies and Major Oil Companies in identifying and executing profitable business opportunities.
• Prepare all documentation necessary for requests for proposals (RFPs), Expression of Interest (EOI), and Invitation to Tender (ITT).
• Gathering new intelligence and providing updates on upcoming and ongoing key projects in the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry, identifying emerging market opportunities, and analyzing industry trends.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities and strategies for partnership
• Oversee business development projects from inception to completion.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• All other functions as assigned by the Managing Director from time to time

Essentials

– Develop and implement HR policies, strategies, and frameworks that align with corporate goals.
– Plan manpower needs and ensure optimal staffing across departments and vessels.
– Coordinate employee onboarding, confirmation, promotion, and exit processes.
– Oversee HR documentation, personnel files, and HR information systems (HRIS).
– Advise management on HR planning, policy formulation, and organizational structure.
